At just 20 years old, Dr. Gwendolyn took a bold step and launched her first business in the beauty industry. Fresh out of high school and faced with the realities of adulthood, she leaned into the skills she developed through cosmetology training and began building from what she had. Balancing school, work, and financial responsibility, she quickly learned that success would require discipline, creativity, strategy, and consistency. What started as a necessity became the foundation for her entrepreneurial journey, leading her to open her first hair salon storefront and later expand into ownership of multiple salons.
